In the heart of the Beni Messara tribe, in the commune of Zoumi, Mount Issoual rises proudly as a symbol of resilience and greatness

This mountain has written remarkable chapters in the history of the struggle against French colonialism and remains, to this day, a source of pride for the people of Messara

Our excursion to this summit is not simply a climb, but a journey through the memory of the place, offering enchanting panoramic views over the mountains of the Rif: Tiziran, Al-Aqra, Tisouka, and many others

Issoual is a mountain unlike any other… We climb it slowly to fully enjoy the magic of the summit, and we end our day with a touristic visit to the green city of Ouezzane

What to bring

  • Mountain hiking shoes
  • Comfortable hiking clothes (preferably avoid jeans)
  • Winter jacket, preferably a windproof model
  • Long socks + gloves
  • Water bottle (1 liter) to avoid dehydration
  • lunch (sandwich, rice, tortilla, etc.) - Possibility to have lunch at the guesthouse. Please inform us in advance if you would like to join
  • Personal waste bag
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Hiking stick(s)
  • Spare clothes for after the hike
  • Patience, a smile , and team spirit
  • Important Notes:
  • 1. We provide a rental service for certain equipment or can guide you to the nearest shop specializing in mountain sports gear2. Backpack weight should not exceed 3 kg—the lighter it is, the more enjoyable and easier the hike
